Parish Updates

Address by Fr John Gilligan, Moderator, on behalf of the Parish Team and the Parish Pastoral Council, in conjunction with Mr Matt O'Sullivan, Chairperson of PPC (who also did the recording). Click full-screen button top right of picture and then press play.  (Note (12 May) : we here offer our condolences to Fr John on the death of his father, Desmond, a week after this address. Funeral Mass online : see details here.)  [NOTE  6 February 2025: Unfortunately, I see that this video cannot now be viewed.  The interview with Fr John was carried out hy Matt O'Sullivan who sent me a copy. I in turn then gave parishioners a link to it on the google drive for this parish website. Hopefully, I can track it down. Donal McMahon]

REMINDER   You can 'attend' Mass from your home or elsewhere every day of the week at 11 am by clicking 'Mass Live' on the menu-bar above.  And, outside Mass times, you can always 'drop in' for a visit.  There may be someone there in person who, by the slightest movement in the otherwise totally still scene, will make you realise that you too are now looking at the altar 'live' from where you are -- so far away and yet so near!

Online Resources at This Trying Time

Just as out there in the real world people are building up vital resources (e.g. testing kits, face masks etc.), we are building up a small supply here of online resources which, hopefully, will be found helpful in their way too (see the 'Covid' tab on the menu-bar). In this regard, I think we can call our ability to transmit Mass live here in our parishes a (spiritual) life-line.

Dublin Diocesan (Virtual) Pilgrimage to Knock, Sunday 26th. Take part in Rosary at 2.30 and Mass at 3.00 p.m. here

People may like to visit Fr Kevin in the 'Upper Room' on Mondays and Thursdays, 7.30 pm, on the Clondalkin Combined  Parishes' Facebook Page or on their Facebook Video Page. Fr Kevin gave these talks at this time last year in our own parishes -- a time (so distant now!) when we could meet freely in public. (Please note: if you do not have or wish to have a Facebook account, you can simply select 'Not now' on the sign-up notice and continue to read or view (in the case of videos).)

Keep in touch too with our own Facebook Page.

Below is an idea for an album that you might like to insert a page in to have as a memory of these strange days when we come to look back on them -- hopefully, not too long more. Your page could be some (children's) art work (secular or religious) or maybe a bit of a diary or a photo of something in our parishes that will capture some of the atmosphere we're in the middle of at the moment. Send your page to donalpmcmahon@gmail.com.

Mass Times Until End of Lockdown

As was the practice during Easter Week (see below), Mass will continue to be celebrated online only in Saggart every day at 11 a.m.  To follow the Mass, click 'Mass Live' on menu-bar above.  These arrangements will remain in place until the end of the present period of lockdown.
