  1. Love the new blog, great to have all the parish news at our fingertips. Well done to everyone involved. LK.

  2. Thanks very much, LK, for your comment. You have the honour of being the first parishioner to 'post' on our site. It's great to know that people are benefiting from this venture. It's off the ground, indeed, but the next very important stage is that it get gain some altitude! I'm thinking of ways to achieve that and will share them with you soon. It's important that people get involved with this project and contribute to it, as you have done in a small but, still, ground-breaking way!

    Donal (McMahon).

  3. I will be visiting from the US for the All Ireland Irish dance championships at the City West Feb11-12. Is your church the closest? I was hoping for a Saturday evening mass as my daughter will be competing on Sunday. Your website is lovely as I am sure your church is as well.

    1. Hello, Tara.

Lovely to hear from you. I hope you and your daughter enjoy your stay in Saggart.

As regards Saturday evening Mass, you will find the times on the home-page under 'Sacraments'. There is no Saturday evening Mass in St Mary's, but there is one in the newer church of the Holy Family in Rathcoole, at 6.30. Ask at the hotel and they will tell you how to get there (c.7 minutes from the hotel by car).

Best Wishes and God Bless, Donal

  4. I am planning on visiting Ireland in June 2015. I would love to renew my vows for my 25th Anniversary at the Nativity of Blessed Mary in Saggart, Ireland. I have visited your church in the past, fell in love. Please Let me know how to go about doing this. I would love to do this on June 16, 2015. Please advise.

    1. Thank you very much, Sandie, for your email. It's lovely to hear your comments on our parish. We parishioners get so used to our surroundings that sometimes we don't see what's special in them any more. It takes an outsider to waken us up again to the value of what we have.
That's a lovely idea to come here on the occasion of your silver jubilee. The best thing, I feel, would be to make contact with the Parish Secretary or one of the priests via the contact details given on the home-page (mentioning me, the Web Sec, Donal McMahon, as your initial contact). If you need any more help, please email
